A police officer in San Pablo, California, is being celebrated as a hero after he helped save the life of a choking infant.
Officer Gilbert Troche and his family were driving back home from a movie when they spotted a woman parked on the side of the road. The woman appeared to be upset, so they pulled over to help.
Officer Troche explained to local news affiliate KTVU, "There was a lady on the side of the road, outside of her vehicle holding her baby in her arms and she appeared to be very distraught."
After the mom handed the baby to Officer Troche, he knew he had to leap into action.
