Jane Seymour Says She's Never Once Altered Her Swimsuit Photos: 'It's Just Me Out There'

She's now 70 years old!
It may be hard to believe it, but Jane Seymour is currently 70 years old. She's more or less proof that 70 is the new 40. She's taken such excellent care of herself that she's still in her prime.

Jane also makes sure to really put herself out there. Not only is it inspiring to see an older woman share fun swimsuit photos, which she does, but it's a reminder that the British American actress is comfortable in her own skin. As women, we're taught to believe that we should be self-conscious about the photos we put out there. Jane is a great example of a woman who doesn't need to be retouched in her photos to please other people. In every photo she uploads, she's in her natural element.
"I don’t retouch any of those pictures, it’s just me out there," she confirmed to People magazine. "You can tell in the one in the waterfall, I certainly didn’t put hair and makeup and do anything for that. I was getting splashed by a serious, serious waterfall there."

That said, Jane does believe that women should continue caring for themselves. That means staying active, eating healthy, and having fun as often as possible. These things can be more challenging for women who live paycheck to paycheck, but she does have a point.

"I felt that there are a lot of people I know who just give up," she says. "They have the babies and they say, 'Okay, I’m done caring about how I look and staying in shape.'" That statement may ring true to some, but it shouldn't make new moms feel bad. Especially if they don't have the same amount of help as someone in Jane's position.

However, Jane does have kids — four of them, to be exact. She has two sons with ex-husband James Keach and a daughter and son with ex-husband David Flynn. She and James, her last husband, were together from 1993 to 2015 before splitting. According to Jane, the divorce wasn't her idea.

''I still get very sad about it — but he made the choice, not me," she reportedly told Woman magazine, per HuffPost. Regardless, she's still making the most out of every day — and that includes maintaining a healthy diet. Jane did say that she doesn't do anything crazy in order to keep her figure.

"I think I wanted to show people what would happen if you just did a very simple regimen like I do, where you’re not on any specialty diet, you eat as sensible as you can, everything in moderation," she said. She makes sure to add a lot of fish, nuts, and vegetables to her meals.

Another secret to Jane's glow? She always makes sure to wash her face. It's a task that might seem tiresome at the end of a long day, but it really works for her. "I exfoliate really, really well. Then I use Crepe Erase — and I tend to use a lot of it. I love it and I put it in the regular places, on my chest, my arms, my legs and even my face," she told People.

Part of Jane's glow can also be due to her happiness in her latest relationship. She's been seen with producer David Green. "I first met him 35 years ago," the actress said, per HuffPost. "He runs a company called September Films. We're in the same place in our lives and we enjoy our time together.'"

By not posting photos that have been edited, Jane is doing her best to showcase true beauty. So often, celebrities post heavily filtered photos or edited photos that, in their eyes, make them look more appealing. But in reality, fans just believe that these measurements are possible to naturally achieve.

Back in 2018, Jane was interviewed for Playboy. She admitted that she feels a lot sexier in her 60s than she did decades earlier. She chalks that up to life experience. And she openly admitted that she's never scheduled a surgery to make her look like someone she's not.

"I feel much sexier now than I ever did when I was younger," she said. "There's an enormous freedom in having lived as long as I have." That in itself is great for any woman who's been struggling. Sometimes, age makes you put things in perspective and see yourself in a healthier way.

"I haven't done any surgeries or injections or anything. I haven't done any of it," she admitted next. "So I still look like 'me.' Everyday I'm kind of tempted, but then I look at people I know and I don't [recognize] them. I'm authentically being me. That's important to me."

Jane also admitted that she has nothing to prove to anyone. "When you're younger, it's all about 'look at me.' I'm not trying to get anyone to look at me," she said. "I'm not trying to prove anything to anyone." It's a healthy attitude to have.

Jane's message about women "giving up" after pregnancy may have seemed a little insensitive in regard to what pregnant women are facing today, but her overall message is clear. She's managed to look and feel healthy by fueling her body with what it needs and not removing foods altogether. And she's also not ashamed to showcase herself online for others to see.

While surgery may be an option for some, it's not necessary. There's no one definition of what beauty is — and even if there was, it's bound to change up in a few years. The best way to stay healthy is to fuel your body with the nutrients it needs and to thank it for all of its hard work.
