Stray Cat Gets Hired As A ‘Security Guard’ With His Very Own Badge

Rather than kick the stray kitten out, the staff got creative.
Most of us are accustomed to hearing about watchdogs that guard a property relentlessly 24 hours a day. They seem to be the perfect companion to keep things safe.

A Brazilian Bar Association, however, decided to go a different route and hired a “watchcat” and they did it for all the right reasons.

It seems as if the Order of Attorneys of Brazil (OAB) was the location where a stray kitten had been spotted on multiple occasions. Visitors were complaining about having the kitten in the reception area lurking about.
As it turns out, people at the Association were in love with the cat and they didn’t want to get rid of him. That is when they got the bright idea to bring on a new employee, and it was a perfect idea.

You can see the new employee with his lanyard and name badge right here:

If you look at the “staff pass” closely, you will see they dubbed the kitten, Dr Leon, O Advogato. It also seems as if he has the coveted “Vigia Da OAB” position.

When translated, that means “Watchman of OAB,” which is another way of saying that he is the new watchcat.

It seems as if Doctor Leon has the job of welcoming newcomers and those who are visiting the office.

He’s friendly, but he’s also very dedicated to his job. OAB has sent out pictures of him in some of his office attire.

The pictures show that he seems to be a fan of bowties, including this Navy blue tie that may be perfect for the Monday blues.

The red bow tie also seems to be party-worthy.

We all love dressed down Fridays, and the checkered bow tie is a perfect choice. Love that straw hat!

Finally, you need to get dressed up if you have an important client to meet.

After the employee story went viral, it received over 10,000 shares in 10 hours!

People couldn’t say enough good about Doctor Leon and his new position.

Of course, it’s not the easiest thing in the world to land a job at the Brazilian Bar Association, but it seems as if he has things well in hand.

Congratulations to their new full-time employee. I’m sure he will be around for a long time to come.
